WELCOME, OUTSIDE THE BOX
Hello, and WELCOME. I’m returning after more than 20 months of no postings. In short, I guess I’m starting over – a very fine thing to do. I see WordPress has made some format changes – very nice!
Considering all that there is to read out in the world, especially on the web, I humbly thank you for taking the time to read something I’ve written. I promise to do my best with spelling, punctuation and grammar, so you won’t feel distracted just trying to decipher a post.
As for my personal info: It’s true, I’m a person. I’ve got issues. I’ve got goals, sadness, joys, concerns & wants. My challenges and points of conflict can usually be found in those moments when I fail to pause a moment and put my Big Fat Mouth or my Big Fat Ego in check before acting on or thinking something. Philosophically and spiritually, I try not to put myself too deeply into one box or another, but I feel there are many Buddhist principals which continue to have a profound effect on my choices. Great persons such as His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Lama Surya Das, to name a few – these people lead by example with peace and kindness. When I am my best self, that’s what I try to do as well. (That being said, I’m not saying I haven’t screamed profanity through the window of my car when someone didn’t use their turn signal.)
Thanks for reading at least this far. I hope you decide to visit periodically. My goal is to share my experiences and my responses to them. If nothing else, the things that occur in my world are very often amusing, even when they’re happening to me. [I could insert a ridiculous story involving a convertible, a car wash, several cases of glue sticks, and a pet ferret here…but no. This is only the “welcome” blog. I wouldn’t want to come on too strong…]
Again, welcome.
